Illuminating Your Way to Mental Health

Welcome!

I'm Julie Marks, LCSW, and I specialize in working with adults navigating the complexities of modern dating, intimate partner relationships, career adjustments, and struggles with anxiety and depression. My approach is collaborative and person-centered, focusing on your unique needs and experiences. Together, we'll explore healthy and unhealthy relational dynamics, understand different parts of the self, identify needs and unmet needs, and work towards improving self-esteem to build the fulfilling relationships you desire. During our sessions, we'll cultivate deeper self-awareness and recognize your strengths and areas for growth, empowering you to learn, evolve, and thrive.

Education

I graduated in 2007 with my Bachelor of Arts in Communications from John Carroll University and then went on to pursue my Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Loyola University where I graduated in 2014. I trained at Chicago’s top hospitals and outpatient clinics, co-facilitated a mentoring group at an inner city school, and have worked in private practice groups in Virginia and Chicago.
